Born and raised in a small town in Northwest Georgia, EJ Williams moved to Raleigh, North Carolina at the age of 8 years old.  The youngest of 4 boys raised by a single hard-working mother, he matured quickly. After falling in love with the game of basketball, throughout high school, where he became a McDonald's All-American Nominee, which led to multiple basketball scholarship offers.Throughout college "Coach E" struggled with injuries, yet still being voted captain on every collegiate program by being a fierce competitor and leading by example.  In 2014, Coach "E" graduated from Minot State University in Business Management with a minor in both Coaching and Kinesiology being the only college graduate in his family.

 

After graduating college, EJ Williams was voted the #1 point guard during the 2015 Gatorade League National Tryouts and 6th overall out of 300 other participants. During the summer of 2015 EJ earned an NBA Gatorade League contract. He played through injuries to avoid being labeled "injure prone," but this choice ultimately left him unable to play professional basketball.

Coach EJ has over ten years of experience in fitness and coaching basketball, over the course of which, he has been privileged to work and play with some of the best athletes around the world. Coach EJ is certified by NASM (National Academy Sports & Medicine) as a personal trainer, specializing in behavior change & basketball player development. His passion for helping kids and adults reach their goals mentally, physically and emotionally goes hand in hand with his mantra “Training the Mind "Right" and the Body Will Follow”. Coach Williams is passionate about helping others do things the "right way" mind, body, and soul!
